10 Years & Counting – See you at the Picnic
Join the Sioux City Knights next Sunday, August 14 at the Riverside Park picnic shelter at 2pm. Shelter #2.
We gather & celebrate all of the accomplishments of each & every one of our athletes this past year & what a year it’s been!
We are also using this as an opportunity to kick off our 10 Anniversary of being the Sioux City Knights! My how we have grown since those 1st 5 athletes.
Sporting our trademark green shirts (but before our logo was created) at the very first competition for Knights, basketball skills at Dordt. Second is the very first picture taken of athletes & coaches.
Fun fact: The name came about because we are a nights & weekends program, hence the Knights. The color green because I went looking for shirts that said Sioux City on them. Walgreens on Pierce had exactly 5 shirts of the same color on a rack & in stock, luckily the sizes worked.
